Swaddling is a term for the 'wrap' the baby in a cloth. Fabrich used is soft and warm fabric. Some benefits of the  swaddling the baby, are:

If you give birth in a midwife, as well as in hospitals, usually before returning home, they will teach you how to swaddling your baby. But if you're still confused, or not confident to do that, you can learn again the steps and images below, about one good way to swaddling your baby.

Tips About Baby Swaddling 

Note the condition of your baby when it will start swaddling, don't do it when he was hungry for instance, or still wet after a shower, or when he's tired.
Don't be too tight swaddling, by forcing the baby's legs to make straight, because this practice will damage the knee joint and can also cause hips dyplasia. To prevent this, make sure that you leave enough space at the bottom (the legs), so your baby can still bend the knee.
If the weather is cold, you should put a shirt and trousers to the child before you swaddling him. But if the weather is hot, make sure it's only wearing a singlet and shorts. If not, it will be very hot.
Don't let the cloth covering the face of four baby.
When your baby fall asleep with swaddled, he shouldn't be replaced side by side with you, because he might be overheating. Swaddling during baby slepp, should be made such that air around it's free and not closed, so hegets enough air and doesn't feel overheated.

Baby Swaddling Steps

  • Spread the fabric on a flat sirface, with a shape like a diamond - pic 1
  • Fold down the top corner, as much as about 15-20 com, so that the top surface of the fabric to form a horizontal line - pic 1
  • Put your baby gently on his back, so that upper end of the horizontal fabric had to be aligned with the shoulders - pic 1

  • Twist or fold the bottom edge of fabric, then slide down his body, but let it loose, not too tight, so it can be folded up to his kness, his hips can move well and he can stretch his legs easily.

When We Don't Need to Swaddling Our Baby Again?

Until your baby is about 1 month old, you can still swaddling, but try not swaddling during he wakes. If after 1 month of age he looked sleep better, why not for swaddling him, only when he is asleep.
Typically, if your child isn't comfortable, he will refuse to cry or kicking his legs, well it means it's time you don't need swaddling your baby again.
